It was through missionaries like Junipero Serra that the Catholic faith arrived to this continent and through many others after him it reached my ancestors and me.
This past week I felt proud of being a Catholic woman.
I was reminded of the importance of sharing the good news of the Gospel and to be joyful about it!
My calling to continue sharing Catholic Social Teaching and defending the vulnerable population of immigrants through advocacy and action was confirmed.
Oh, and my husband and six children who also attended, reminded me that Pope Francis wants us to measure our love by the amount of patience and tenderness we show one another in our families. I invite you to take on his invitation as well.
