On Thanksgiving Day, Bishop Alberto Rojas reflected on the importance of gratitude when he celebrated Mass at St. Bernardine Church in San Bernardino. “It’s a beautiful feeling, knowing the whole country is stopping to come together as families and have a meal and thank God for their blessings,” Bishop Rojas expressed during his homily. In addition to celebrating Thanksgiving Mass, Bishop Rojas lent a hand during the Diocesan “Day of the Poor” event held at the parish. This event, coordinated by the Office of Community Services & Outreach, provided haircuts, bags with personal care/sanitary items, clean clothes and shoes, blankets and towels to those in need. Bishop Rojas then shared a Thanksgiving meal with brothers and sisters in need, and parishioners.
