 He moved to the Coachella Valley in 1984 after retiring from a successful business career that saw him become Chairman and CEO of the famed Milton Bradley Company. Once in the desert he made his presence felt in community involvement. He became a Director of the Braille Institute, the Palm Springs Air Museum and the United Way of the Desert. Additionally he was a trustee of the Eisenhower Medical Center and a member of Sacred Heart Church’s Finance Committee.

 In 2011 he received Bishop Gerald Barnes’ Episcopal Amar es Entregarse award for his longtime support of Catholic ministries in the diocese.
