He married Virginia on September 13, 1959 and was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate by Bishop Leo T. Maher on June 19, 1976.
Deacon Partida was assigned to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Chino for almost 21 year and subsequently at St. Joseph, Big Bear Lake until he was granted the status of Retired Deacon in 2014. His son, Rafael, is a priest of the Diocese, currently serving as pastor of St. Patrick, Moreno Valley, and as Episcopal Vicar for the Riverside Pastoral Region.
A Mass of Resurrection for Deacon Partida was held on January 25 at St. Paul the Apostle, Chino Hills and burial took place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pomona.
