The annual Bishop’s Golf Classic, now in its 22nd year, was reimagined this year to include exciting changes to enhance the event and show even more appreciation to those who donated. The Dec. 9 event, renamed The Bishop Rojas’ Golf Classic for Catholic Schools, returned to the renowned Pete Dye Stadium Course at PGA West in La Quinta; it featured a streamlined format and offered unique golf swag. All proceeds from the event benefited the Diocese of San Bernardino Catholic Education Foundation Endowment Fund, and $120,000 was raised this year. There was a special drawing for two grand prizes of $5,000 and Mr. Lukasz Bartnik, a parent from St. Margaret Mary School in Chino, was the lucky raffle winner of a 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE.
Several esteemed players were in attendance, including NFL Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson, and Chris Hale, former NFL defensive back. The Diocese would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who participated in the Bishop Rojas Golf Classic, as well as those who were unable to attend but generously donated to support the children of our Catholic schools.
