The two-day event aims to develop an understanding and appreciation for Asian Pacific sense of theology, spirituality, cultures and traditions and to promote the integration of Asian Pacific realities in the pastoral planning for mission and ministry at the parish level.
The May 17 workshops will be held in English while the May 18 workshops will be held in various languages, including Chamorro, Indonesian, Korean, Tongan and Vietnamese.
Presenters will include several priests and representatives from the diocese and also include Sister Joelle Marie Aflague, S.S.N.D., advisor to the Chamorro Apostolate in the Archdiocese of Seattle, Washington; Father John Francis Toan Vu, S.J., chaplain at the University of California, Irvine and Savio A. Pham, D.M.(c), doctoral candidate from the Archdiocese of Seattle.
Participants have the option of attending both sessions or only one day. Registration is $10 for one day or $20 for both days with lunch included.
