Every Tuesday in the month of August, the Office of Priest Personnel, led by Father Erik Esparza, hosted the annual Successful Pastor’s Workshop at the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
Participants of the workshop were new Administrators, Father Alwyn Anfone, Dr. Father Javier Gonzalez-Cabrera, and Father Vinh Daniel Nguyen, SVD, Father Alvaro Palacios Arregui, IMC, Father Luis O. Reyes Prado, O de M, Father Alex Rodarte and Father Pavol Sochulak, SVD. Participants also included new pastors, Father Alfredo G. Africa, Father Jose M. Garcia Oviedo, MCCJ, Father Emmanuel Ukaegbu-Onuoha, Father Theodore (Ted) Drennan and Father Cristobal Subosa
Some of the topics discussed with the pastors were: pastoral perspective, finances, ethics and accountability, spirituality and self-help, Human Resources, construction and real estate, Catholic schools, safe environment, emergency operations, Canonical Services and Synodality, divine worship and, media and communications. Most of the topics discussed at the workshop’s were provided by the directors of their related diocesan ministry office.
