Bishop Rojas wishes to share the following information:
I. ADMINISTRATOR APPOINTMENT
Father Luis Omar Reyes-Prado, OdeM, Administrator, St. Anthony, Riverside effective January 1, 2024 and ending on June 30, 2026. Father Luis Omar is a member of the Orden de Merced and previously served in the Diocese before departing for further studies in Rome, Italy. We thank Father Nicolas Batta Tierrablanca, OdeM, for his service as Interim Administrator of the parish until December 31, 2023. Father Nicolas will continue to serve as Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, Riverside and St. Anthony, Riverside.
II. INTERIM ADMINISTRATOR APPOINTMENT
Deacon Joseph Moorman, Interim Administrator, St. Joseph, Barstow and St. Philip Neri, Lenwood effective January 1, 2024 until June 30, 2024. Deacon Joe Moorman will be working closely with Father Romeo Seleccion, Episcopal Vicar, San Bernardino Pastoral Region and the two parish parochial vicars. A new pastor will be appointed and will begin ministry on July 1, 2024.
III. PAROCHIAL VICAR
Father Hector Vasquez, Interim Parochial Vicar, Corpus Christi, Corona effective November 1, 2023 until June 30, 2024. Rev. Jaime Torres Lezcano departed the Diocese in August 2023 to return to his native Colombia to be with his ailing father. We thank Father Hector for his ongoing service in the Diocese.
