Open Bethlehem is a story of a homecoming to the world’s most famous little town. The film spans seven momentous years in the life of Bethlehem, revealing a city of beauty and political strife under occupation.
The film draws from 700 hours of original footage by film director Leila Sansour as she traveled back to her home town of Bethlehem.
In anticipation of the Holy Season of Advent, the Diocese of San Bernardino Equestrian Order Of The Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem invites the community to turn their attention to the plight of the Little Town of Bethlehem and the suffering of the Christian people at the birth place of Our Lord.
The 90 minute documentary will be shown free of charge on:
• Monday, Oct. 23 at St. Anthony Church, 2110 San Antonio Ave., Upland.
• Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m., at The Holy Name of Jesus, 115 W Olive Ave., Redlands, in the parish hall; viewed together with the “Cinema for the Soul” ministry.
Sansour will be available for question and answer after the screening.

Voight plays Hall’s father, with whom he reconciles, thanks to revelations of his new life.
The screening will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. at the Regal San Bernardino Stadium 14 in San Bernardino, 450 North E St., San Bernardino.
