RANCHO CUCAMONGA—Students of Sacred Heart School got a lesson in both the historic evil of slavery and its modern form from a descendant of two African-American pioneers at an on-campus forum held Nov. 15.
TEMECULA—After over 20 years of hoping and dreaming – after 5 years of intense study, discerning, and planning – Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School will open its doors in August 2018.
RIVERSIDE—On Nov. 17 students from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Riverside showcased projects demonstrating the integration of the school’s STREAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Religion/Reading, Arts, Math) program in kindergarten through eighth grade classrooms.
SAN BERNARDINO—The number of students enrolled in the 27 Catholic schools of the Diocese continues to hover around 7,500, according to statistics released by the Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools for the 2017-18 year.

The Aquinas High School football team capped an undefeated regular season and playoff run with a 24-6 defeat of Ridgecrest Burroughs High School on Dec. 1 to win the CIF Southern Section Division 10 Championship.
