SAN BERNARDINO—Aquinas High School is no stranger to producing talented and prominent athletes.
On November 14, three female Aquinas High School athletes, Amanda Kirtley, Alexandra Hotetz, and Zoe Casas, signed their letters of intent in the Aquinas High School gymnasium to the universities to which they previously committed.

BIG BEAR LAKE—About 80 students from the University of California, Riverside and Riverside City College participated in the Catholic Student Fellowship’s annual Fall Retreat held this year at Sacred Heart Retreat Center in Big Bear Lake.

Last month, before the hustle and bustle began with the holidays, an elder parishioner came to the school office and placed a paper bag on the counter. He said that he and his wife had been saving their pocket change for a while and wanted to give it to the school. He then left the bag and turned to leave. Mrs. Tyrrell, the Office Manager, quickly asked him for his name to send him a thank you, but he replied that he wanted to remain anonymous as he left through the doors.
SAN BERNARDINO—On November 11, Aquinas High School students, parents, alumni, faculty, and community members gathered to honor the nation’s heroes.
This was the first time the school had put together a Veterans Day Assembly, whose focus was to honor veterans in particular alumni from the school. Over 20 students volunteered to assist in the planning and implementation of the assembly. Every student had a role from greeters to masters of ceremony.
RANCHO CUCAMONGA—On December 6, students, parents, and staff from Sacred Heart Parish School of Rancho Cucamonga met at Matthis Brothers in Ontario for the Spark of Love Toys for Tots Event.
The Diocesan Office of Catholic Schools is among the 547 school districts in the United States and Canada recognized by the College Board with placement on the 5th Annual AP District Honor Roll for increasing access to Advanced Placement (AP) course work while simultaneously maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP exams.
