Catholic Schools Week - January 26-February 1, 2025
Theme: United in Faith and Community
January 26, 2025
My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Peace and blessings to you and your families.
As we prepare to celebrate Catholic Schools Week, January 26th February 1st, my heart is filled with gratitude and hope for all of you. This year's theme, "United in Faith and Community," calls us to reflect on our shared mission to nurture environments where faith and learning thrive together, especially within the ministry of Catholic education.
To our pastors, deacons, and religious, your role as spiritual leaders enriches the connection between parish and school communities. By keeping the sacraments, Scripture, and Catholic identity at the center of our mission, you strengthen the foundation of our shared faith. Your prayers and presence guide students as they grow into faithful disciples of Christ, and your example inspires them and our entire community.
To our principals, teachers and educators, you are the guiding lights of your school communities, shaping minds and hearts in profound and lasting ways. Through your dedication, you inspire students and families to embrace the Gospel message in their daily lives. Every word of encouragement and every act of compassion you offer reflects the love of Christ to the young hearts entrusted to your care. Thank you for your steadfast commitment to excellence in both academic and faith formation. Your students will learn better if they know you love them.
To our parents and guardians, you are vital partners in this mission. By choosing Catholic education, you affirm your commitment to raising your children in the faith and preparing them to serve the world as Christ's disciples. Your support and collaboration with our schools are invaluable in building strong communities rooted in faith and love of God.
Together, we are united in this mission, forming a community guided by faith, strengthened by hope, and inspired by love. Let us continue to work together to ensure our schools remain places where Christ's teachings illuminate every subject, every interaction, and every encounter.
As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, may we recommit to this sacred mission and inspire one another to build up the Kingdom of God through the gift of Catholic education in our Diocese of San Bernardino.
May God bless you and your families abundantly, and may we always move forward together united in faith and community.
Yours in Christ's Love,
+ Bishop Alberto Rojas
