Father Richard Casillas, S.V.D., Parochial Vicar at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Rialto, offered the invocation at the August 6 meeting of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. Fr. Casillas was invited to provide the invocation by Joe Baca Jr., Fifth District Supervisor and a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena.

“May you value the importance of making good decisions and find policies that will serve the people entrusting you and who have called you to bring forth justice and strong communities…May you have many nights of good rest because you are content with what you have done for the people, with God’s help, let it be,” Fr. Casillas prayed. After the invocation, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School students Checote George, Student Council President, and Sophia Hernandez, Student Council Vice President, led the Pledge of Allegiance. The students received a backpack from Supervisor Baca as a thank you for leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
