Parishioners and clergy from St. Peter & St. Paul Parish, Alta Loma, St. Joseph Parish, Upland and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Ontario participated in the 40 Days for Life fall campaign by praying outside the Planned Parenthood Upland Health Center. Joining the prayer vigil was newly ordained Father Alfredo Ledesma, Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph. St. Peter & St. Paul staff member Maggie Duran took a missionary image of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the Planned Parenthood location to ask the Blessed Mother to intercede in their prayers to put an end to abortion. 40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses. The 40 Days for Life campaign this year took place from Sept. 25 through Nov. 3.
