Father William J. Kiefer, a retired diocesan priest, was called home to God September 19, passing away at the Villas Assisted Living facility in San Bernardino at the age of 94. Fr. Kiefer was recognized in September at the 2024 Annual Priests’ Convocation for his 66 years of faithful priestly service in both the Diocese of San Diego and the Diocese of San Bernardino.
Fr. Kiefer served as pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in San Bernardino (closed) from 1966-1975.
A Mass of Resurrection for Fr. Kiefer was celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral on October 4. May Our Lord grant + Fr Kiefer eternal rest and life. May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
