Event organizers initially were to use Matt 16:15 as their theme, but were inspired to focus on the present issues and realities youth face and the role of faith in their life.
Other scheduled speakers include Father Gregory Elder, parochial vicar at St. Patrick, Moreno Valley and Sister Catherine Nguyen, Director of Faith Formation at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Ontario.
Several music groups have been invited to showcase their talents throughout the day. The day will conclude with Mass at 4 p.m. All are invited to join the youth for Mass.
Registration for Diocesan Youth Day is $20 per person. Registration includes a t-shirt and lunch. One chaperone is admitted free for every 10 youth registered.
