Each student from kindergarten through eighth grade hand decorated the bags with colorful Fall and Thanksgiving decorations and art. School families donated candy and fruit to fill the bags and special prayers were prepared by the students and inserted in each bag wishing each family a Happy Thanksgiving with God’s blessings.
The school hopes to make this an annual event, which further emphasizes its mission to “…provide service to God’s people.” Practicing Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy in the Perris Valley community is a top priority of St. James School students as they also partnered with the Knights of Columbus for a toy drive for local children this Christmas season.
