St. Joseph connects the dots through art

For example, Language Arts uses book illustrations for part of the comprehension process, using artworks as a catalyst when students are unable to express a thought or idea in writing. This form of art inquiry will help students integrate and retain what they are learning by the use of observation, memory and imagination. Peter Reynolds’ book The Dot is being used to connect and encourage the students to make their mark on the world around them. Students make paper dots and decorate them to hang in the classrooms to remind all of us that God calls us to mission, sometimes right in our own backyard, to the people right next to us.
