The Comforter of the Afflicted Praesidium was blessed at the start of the Junior Legion on March 1, 2012 with one member and three adults. Today the Junior Legion, with its Praesidium name of Junior Messengers of Mary, has grown to five active members and two Junior Auxiliary members, with the children recruiting new members from among their own Catholic friends and families and their religious education classes.
The Junior Legion activities include the weekly meeting with the praying of the Rosary and projects which have included the “Odd Socks in a Box” to assist the homeless during the Christmas Season and the giving away of Miraculous Medals at Masses. This year the Junior Legion will be making rosaries to share in the month of May in honor of Mother Mary.
The Legion of Mary will continue to work with the youth to bring others to the Faith, especially during this Year of Faith.
