Aquinas High School senior Halyn Kim took third place in the category of courtroom artist at the Mock Trial State Competition. At mock trial, students argue fictional court cases in front of real judges, with students filling the roles of defense and prosecution attorney, witnesses, clerks, courtroom artists and more.
Kim previously was awarded second place in the same category at the statewide mock trial competition two years ago, when she was a sophomore. This year, Aquinas’ mock trial team did not make it to the statewide competition; their record against other San Bernardino County schools was 2-2.
