Neighbors could leave the cans by their front door or give them to the students as they traveled from house to house that night. The boys managed to collect 204 pounds of food and delivered it to Martha’s Kitchen, a local food bank, for Thanksgiving. In addition, the boys went above and beyond by sending a thank you note to each neighbor who participated. The school was so amazed and inspired by the boys’ selfless act, we have decided to make it an outreach opportunity next year for all junior high students for service hours.
