With COVID-19 infection rates in both San Bernardino and Riverside counties falling below the benchmark of seven per 100,000, Catholic high schools in the Diocese were able to welcome students back to campus in March.
Aquinas High School, San Bernardino began in-person instruction on March 17 (above) while Notre Dame High School, Riverside began on March 29. Both Xavier College Preparatory High School, Palm Desert and St. Jeanne de Lestonnac High School, Temecula, which are not under diocesan jurisdiction, had previously been opened.
Bishop Alberto Rojas helped Notre Dame prepare for its re-opening when he celebrated the annual Senior Mass (above) on March 24 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Riverside.
High school athletics has also returned as Aquinas, Notre Dame and Xavier (above) have begun a busy schedule of competition in a variety of sports.
