The CEF provides tuition assistance to students wishing to attend Catholic schools in the Diocese of San Bernardino.
“The initial financial results look very promising,” said Austin Conley, Tournament Director and Director of Advancement for the Office of Catholic Schools. “We anticipate raising over $300,000 for tuition assistance. What a blessing these golfers and sponsors are to our students.”
Title sponsors for the event are Citizens Business Bank; Redlands Ford; Fullerton, Lemann, Schaeffer and Dominick; Dignity Memorial; Shea Homes and Mrs. Patricia Fischer. The winning team on the Stadium Course consisted of Rob Clark, Nate Clark, Andrew Quinonez and Sam Mangiatera. The winning team on the Nicklaus Course consisted of Bob Cook, Matt Chiappone, John Geiger and Skip Roland.
The golf event is followed by a banquet at the PGA West private clubhouse. Raffles, along with silent and live auctions, are available for golfers to help complete their Christmas shopping. Items like a Tommy Lasorda Dodger jersey, Samsung laptop computer, Magic Castle VIP party certificate and a one-of-a-kind sculpture were available for bid. All the items were donated by generous benefactors.
Palm Springs resident and golfer, Liz Barrett said, “this is a fantastic event, for a very good cause. I’ll be back to play next year.”
The 2020 event will take place on December 3, 2020. For additional information please call 909-475-5437 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
