This special evening will focus on Notre Dame’s contribution to the educational environment in Riverside through her ongoing mission of preparing students for college in the finest Catholic tradition, grounded in faith, active in scholarship, and engaged in community since 1956.
The program will honor Notre Dame parents, students, faculty and alumni, while also recognizing exemplary individuals who are committed to Catholic education.
This evening of celebration will begin with a Red Carpet event hosted by Notre Dame’s very own Titan TV journalism students and will continue with video presentations prepared especially for the event, along with prominent speakers throughout the evening. The Very Reverend Monsignor Gerard Lopez, Vicar General of the Diocese, will open the event and Superintendent Patricia Vesely will reminisce about the history of Notre Dame in the Diocese. Riverside’s mayor, the Honorable William ‘Rusty’ Bailey, will present a City Proclamation honoring Notre Dame’s 60 years of service to the community, and a very special presentation will recognize two prominent supporters with the Spirit of Our Lady Medal.
