“We have found professionals in the IE that are not only interested but seriously committed to Catholic education,” said Delila A. Vasquez, President of the San Bernardino Catholic Elementary Schools (SBCES). “They are most ready to support the two Catholic schools in San Bernardino.
Board members are Carla Ford of Digital First Media (Board Chair); Entrepreneur and Real Estate Agent Phillip Valdes(Co-Chair); Hector Murrieta from Los Angeles Unified School District; Angelica Quiroga from San Bernardino Unified School District; Henry Gonzalez, owner of Spaggi’s Restaurant; Jim Smith from Native Sons of The Golden West; Shayly Apocada, a Catholic School mother and supporter; Maria Serret from Southern California Edison and the National Latina Business Women Association; Maria Echeverria, Vice Chancellor of the Diocese; Holy Rosary Pastor, Father Allan Jenkins, and Our Lady of the Assumption Pastor, Father Henry Sseriiso.

Members are making a presence in the community.
In October the Board was represented at the Our Lady of the Assumption Fair with a Día De Los Muertos Table where children enjoyed delicious cookies courtesy of Spaggi’s Restaurant and adults received information about Holy Rosary Academy and Our Lady of the Assumption School. On November 13 the Board hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Holy Rosary Academy where it kicked off the first SBCES Annual Fund Campaign.
