Throughout this 2025 Jubilee Year, in solidarity with the Vatican’s Jubilee Calendar, the Diocese of San Bernardino is celebrating various designated groups, such as Missionaries, Artists, Athletes, Prisoners and Deacons. On designated Sundays at 5:30 pm at Our Lady of The Rosary Cathedral in San Bernardino Eucharistic Adoration and Vespers takes place in recognition of each group.

The diocese celebrated its first group of the year, the Jubilee of the World of Communications on Jan. 26, when members of the media and communication were invited to the Cathedral to participate in Eucharistic Adoration and Vespers and offer prayers intended for them, their fellow colleagues and the work they provide. Marilyn Kott, a parishioner of The Holy Name of Jesus, Redlands, and a member of the Diocesan Laudato Si Committee, celebrated the World of Communications Jubilee at the Vatican in Rome as part of a trip to Italy. Kott participated by making a pilgrimage to the Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica and had the opportunity to see and listen to Pope Francis.

“It renewed me and strengthened me for the Christian calling of sharing the Good News with our world,” said Kott. “We walked in the footsteps of some of the earliest Christian communicators, including Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Saint Sebastian and Saint Monica. We walked with other communications pilgrims who had traveled for the same events. I would like to think that in some small way, our journey supports the efforts of those who come next.”
