“Music Brings Hope VI: An Evening of Great Music Bringing Hope to Our Community,” hosted by Catholic Charities San Bernardino and Riverside Counties on October 12 was a vibrant event at Riverside’s Grand Arbor Botanic Garden and Sculpture Park. Community members gathered to enjoy a lively evening of music from Americana, alternative, and rockabilly bands Micah Justice, The Sieve & The Saddle, and Bare Knuckles, filling the venue with an inspiring blend of sounds that underscored the event’s hopeful mission.

The evening featured locally catered food, a selection of wine and craft beer, and a silent auction with an array of themed baskets and unique experiences, creating an exciting way for attendees to support a worthy cause. The event raised over $20,000 to aid Catholic Charities’ work in fighting poverty and assisting families in need throughout the region.

In a special highlight, Tim Ney, the newly appointed CEO of Catholic Charities, presented an honorary award to former CEO Ken Sawa, celebrating over 30 years of his dedicated service and exceptional leadership. This tribute to Sawa’s longstanding commitment to the organization moved the attendees, marking a significant moment that bridged the organization’s past achievements with its future vision.
