Fifty-two weeks of the year, Religious Sisters stand with the poor, with immigrants, teach children, inspire youth, fight injustice, visit the sick, share spirituality, promote peace, care for creation, and fill lives with hope. During Sisters’ Week, March 8-15, we shine the light on them. We celebrate and give thanks for all Sisters, beacons of hope in our midst, and the witness they give by their lives in a world so in need of God’s compassion and consolation. May they be blessed and strengthened in their fidelity to living the Gospel. We pray with those discerning their call to religious life, those who have recently made first vows or have been finally professed. We remember with gratitude and affection those Sisters we have known in the various parishes and ministries in our Diocese of San Bernardino, who are now enjoying their eternal reward.
