The Opening Congress drew participation of more than 900 persons, all from prayer groups from the different parishes and vicariates within the Diocese. The theme was “I will Pour Out My Spirit Upon All Flesh.” The event featured Father Fray Nelson Medina, O.P. (pictured), a Colombian priest who is a famous preacher known internationally due to his YouTube channel. Deacon Santiago Guerrero from the Diocese of Las Vegas also participated in the Congress along with spiritual council from Hispanic Charismatic Renewal Region Eight. The Charismatic Renewal Evangelization Team from the Diocese of San Bernardino was also a key participant.
