FONTANA—Students at Resurrection Academy in Fontana partnered with Sleep Train stores to help local foster kids.  

 Over 60,000 California children find themselves living in foster care at any given time, many of which have entered with little to no possessions. Many have suffered the effects of poverty, neglect, and even abuse. Studies show that for many foster children, these challenges are just beginning.

The 26 Catholic Schools throughout the diocese celebrated Catholic Schools Week January 26-30  

RANCHO CUCAMONGA—Students at Sacred Heart School in Rancho Cucamonga began the week with a living Rosary dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  They not only prayed the Rosary but became the Rosary beads on the playground, each representing one prayer in the Rosary but coming together as one.

Stuck for a Buck - St James PerrisPERRIS—Students at St. James Catholic School in Perris eagerly awaited the day that they were allowed to duct tape Principal Camile Lara to one of the walls on campus.  

 This crazy stunt was in response to the school’s Pennies for Patients campaign.  Every year the school raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  For the past two years the school’s student council has taken on this campaign and has tried to make the campaign fun for ALL students while raising as much money as possible.
