Call to Care training sessions offer education in the areas of cultural competency, grief and loss, crisis response, the use of creativity in the caring role, and the value of spirituality in care giving. Additionally, information about community resources that can be helpful for individuals receiving care is also provided.
Call to Care training courses are offered in English and Spanish. The 12-week training courses meet weekly for two hours, and a certificate of completion is provided at the end of the course. Fall sessions began in September and will end in December. These courses are free of charge, and are open to community members who are interested in care-giving roles.
