RANCHO CUCAMONGA—Students at Sacred Heart School in Rancho Cucamonga began the week with a living Rosary dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. They not only prayed the Rosary but became the Rosary beads on the playground, each representing one prayer in the Rosary but coming together as one.
ONTARIO—The Office of Catholic Schools presented awards at its 15th annual banquet held January 31 at the Ontario Doubletree. Below is a summary of the awards and recipients:

Grade 12
SAN BERNARDINO—Aquinas High School Athletic Director Chris Ybarra formally stepped down from his position as head football coach on Jan. 21, leaving assistant coach Jordan Brusig to step up and fill his role for the upcoming season.
PERRIS—Braylon Taylor, third grade student at St. James Catholic School in Perris, received top honors in an invitational gymnastics meet Jan. 16-18.
PALM DESERT—Junior high students and their parents at Sacred Heart School in Palm Desert spent Martin Luther King, Jr. Day serving those in need at Coachella Valley Rescue Mission in Indio.
