 My daughter, Emily, recently visited my classroom at Xavier College Preparatory High School in Palm Desert. She’s all grown up now—she’s been in pretty much all of the classrooms I’ve had from Florida to Nebraska to the Republic of Korea, and, finally here. She’s even been a student of mine.

Three students from Our Lady of Lourdes School in Montclair took top honors in the “Water is Life” poster contest sponsored by Monte Vista Water District. Third grader Jonovan Quintos (front row, second from left) took first place in the K-3 division, kindergartener Chris Bui II (front row, third from left) took second place and kindergartener Gianne Annika Pangilnan (not pictured) took third place.

RIVERSIDE—Since January, seventh and eighth grade students from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Riverside have been visiting their next door neighbors at Raincross Senior Assisted Living with the purpose of bridging the knowledge of the past with the present.

 On March 24, students from across California gathered in Sacramento for Catholic Youth Advocacy Day, including nine from the Diocese of San Bernardino. 

 The students lobbied their local representatives on seven legislative bills that the Bishops of California have decided to support.
