But it doesn’t have to be that way. Sleep Train has joined forces with local foster care non-profit partners and our communities in an effort to help California foster kids.  Sleep Train believes all children should feel safe and warm at bedtime. But for California foster children spending their first nights in a new foster home, nighttime can be lonely and difficult.

During Catholic Schools Week, January 26 – 30, students at Resurrection Academy were asked to bring a donation of new pajamas in their size to school.  This would enable the school to make a large donation in all sizes of pajamas that could help many children.

On February 13 Student Council President Michaela Diaz, Vice President David Truman, Secretary Anissa Villalobos and Treasurer Alzen Depakakibo traveled to the Sleep Train store at Victoria Gardens to make the donation.  The barrel for donations was almost empty when they arrived and it was overflowing when they left.

Resurrection Academy has made a pledge to contribute to future Sleep Train Collects for Foster Care.
