Beginning March 21, Lestonnac Free Clinic and Dignity Health are partnering monthly to provide free services for those suffering from diabetes, hypertension, and other primary care health conditions at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fontana every third Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm.

“I think it’s amazing to be here because there’s so many people in need,” said Edward Gerber, Executive Director of the Lestonnac Free Clinic. “This has been chosen by the hospitals’ needs assessment, and Fontana was picked as an area that has a great need for access. They don’t have a lot of access to really get patients into clinics because there’s not enough clinics out here. So, we’re trying to address those access issues and open up clinics in at least four different locations and see how that goes and maybe we expand from there.”

In addition to the clinic, Dignity Health - Community Hospital of San Bernardino provided patients with information about free health education classes and maternal child programs, including a free monthly diaper distribution offered by the hospital. For more information about these services please call 909-806-1816. For more information about the Lestonnac free clinic, please call 909 881-4800.
