St. Martha Parish in Murrieta hosted the Opening Simbang Gabi Mass on Dec. 9 with Bishop Gerald Barnes serving as the chief celebrant. Simbang Gabi (“Night Mass”) is a tradition of the Filipino community that consists of Masses on nine consecutive days leading up the Christmas.
