 Supporters and friends of the monastery celebrated with the Cistercian community. Several Vietnamese choirs from neighboring communities and dioceses contributed to the festive nature of the day.

 The dedication of the chapel is a milestone for the young monastery. Bishop Barnes celebrated the opening of the 80-acre monastery in August 2008.

 The monks hope to continue expanding and eventually erect permanent buildings to house a retreat center and living quarters. Currently the monks use two cream-colored trailers. The site also houses a water pump and solar panels.
