The 2025 Combined Vicariates Meeting, where all parish lay ministers, religious and clergy of the diocese gather to participate in a special themed all-day meeting, took place on Feb. 26 at the Diocesan Pastoral Center. This meeting’s theme was “Partakers of the Divine Nature.” The keynote speaker was Sister Marie-Kolbe Zamora, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in the Diocese of Green Bay, WI. Her talk called on the local Church to turn away from the individualism of the modern culture and to recall our calling as Catholics to minister and live in relationship with one another. Later she reflected on scriptural passages that show how the incarnation of Jesus allows us to share in His divinity. Sr. Zamora holds a doctorate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. In 2021 she was invited to join the staff of the General Secretariat of the Synod, where she currently serves as theologian.
