As Bishop Barnes has written: “As Roman Catholics we believe in the dignity of every human person and that every life has value. Acts of violence disrespect that dignity. We are especially pained when we see acts of violence that are sanctioned by law. Abortion is a prime example of this.” Laws that devalue the dignity of our humanity, such as in abortion and euthanasia inflict a societal wound for generations to come. It is contrary to our Christian values and detrimental to the common good.
OneLife LA is an opportunity to be the voice of reason and a beacon of hope in our community. Last year over 20,000 people attended the event. Many of them were from the millennial generation that has rejected the false claims of abortion; a generation that proudly promulgates a Culture of Life.
