Barnes, and several other bishops along with over 500 Knights and Ladies experienced spiritual renewal at the beautiful liturgies celebrated at the magnificently renovated St. Augustine Cathedral, a historical site constructed in 1776.

At the annual meeting, the Diocese of San Bernardino welcomed five new members: Lady Sylvia Flambures, LHS; Sir Michael Flambures, KHS; Lady Caroline Nolte, LHS; Lady Muriel Vita, LHS; and Sir Wilfredo Vita KHS. Also, new area Co-Councillors, Lady Densy Chandra, LC*HS and Sir Greg Chandra, KC*HS were inducted.

What is the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem?

It is the only lay institution of the Vatican charged with the task of providing for the needs of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and all the activities and initiatives to support the Christian presence in the Holy Land. The origins of Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem date back to the First Crusade over 900 years ago. It is one of two Papal Orders, whose Grand Master is appointed directly by the Holy Father, to lead and govern the Order.

What does it mean to be a Member of the Order?

Joining the Order means taking on a commitment for life. The commitment to be a witness to the faith, to lead an exemplary Christian life of continuing charity in support of the Christian communities in the Holy Land, to practice the true charitable commitment of a Christian.

The purpose of joining the Order is to serve the Catholic Church and to carry out acts of charity to make the operations to maintain the Christian presence in the Holy Land possible.

The Co-Councillors and the outreach Co-Coordinators are available to answer your inquiry and information to join the Order.
